What Are “Energy” and “Bandwidth,” and How Do They Help Reduce Fees When Transferring USDT TRC-20?
Energy and Bandwidth are network resources on the TRON Network. The difference between them is that Energy is required to execute smart contract operations (TRC-20 tokens, such as USDT), while Bandwidth is required to execute any transactions.
Transferring TRX requires only Bandwidth, while transferring USDT TRC-20 requires both Energy and Bandwidth.
Why is this safe?
When purchasing Energy and Bandwidth resources, your TRX remains in your wallet; the service does not require you to transfer coins to its account (other than the payment for the service itself, which you make independently).
We do not ask for your seed phrase, nor do we sign USDT transfer transactions on your behalf—you send the TRC-20 tokens yourself once the rented resource has been delivered to your address.
Example of Savings on USDT TRC-20 Transfers
The cost of a single transaction on the TRON Network is 6.5–13 TRX (≈ $2.08–4.16 at an exchange rate of 1 TRX ≈ $0.32).
When delegating resources through our service, the cost is 3.75–7.51 TRX (~ $1.2–2.4)
Savings:
10 transfers → $8.8
100 transfers → $88
1,000 transfers → $888
10,000 transfers → $8,888
Does a single USDT TRC-20 transfer require 65,000 or 135,000 Energy?
If your address has a balance of 0 USDT, you will need 135,000 Energy. If your balance is >0 USDT, you will only need 65,000 Energy.
